How to control dust when drilling?

Posted by Admin
Dust control is very important when performing coring operations. The following measures can be taken to reduce dust generation and environmental impact:
Wet drilling: Working with drilling equipment with a water cooling system to add water coolant during the drilling process. The water coolant will lower the temperature of the material, reduce the generation of dust, and mix the dust with water when drilling to reduce the dust content in the air.
Dust Extraction Equipment: Install dust extraction equipment to capture and filter the dust generated during the drilling process. These equipment usually include vacuum cleaners, dust hoods, dust collectors, etc., which can effectively collect and filter dust particles in the air and reduce the impact of dust on the environment and worker health.
Local exhaust: Set up a local exhaust system around the drilling site to discharge the generated dust directly to the outside. This method can effectively reduce the accumulation of dust indoors and keep indoor air clean.
Dust covers and baffles: Install dust covers and baffles on drilling equipment to prevent dust from splashing or spreading out from the surface of the equipment. This can reduce the diffusion range of dust and reduce the impact of dust on the surrounding environment.
Personal protective equipment: All workers involved in drilling operations should be equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment, such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc. These equipment can effectively reduce the risk of workers inhaling dust and protect their health and safety.
Regular cleaning: Clean the drilling equipment and surrounding work area regularly, and remove accumulated dust and debris in a timely manner to reduce the accumulation and spread of dust.
